I’ve noticed my social networking time lines have been filled with Darrelle Revis relationship questions so I’ve decided to let you guys know what’s up. I’m sorry it took so long but to be honest, I wasn’t sure I wanted to address it all and when I did decide to address it, I wanted to make sure that I carefully chose my words.
With that said, YES, Darrelle and I were in a relationship (as he stated). At the beginning of the shows taping, with our traveling and hectic schedules, we were trying to figure out what was next for us – whether we were taking the next step and going full force with it or leaving things alone. I actually thought he would come on the show with me but due to what I was told (he was keeping a low profile while his negotiations were happening), he didn’t. To my surprise, he then came on the show with Emily once taping officially began and said we were no longer together, which is fine. We actually weren’t together at the time of shooting that episode. It was a little hurtful that he did that, but fine, so be it. Things happen and that’s what he chose to do. I’ve learned in life that we must let the chips fall as they may. Just know this, I don’t have to lie about a man or being in a relationship with someone.
I’m in a great place right now and I’m very excited about my music, my new management and team and I’m even excited about how the show has taken off. I just dislike that it has yet to show me in a positive light. I’m not here to speak about Darrelle and Emily and if they are dating or not – nor does that concern me. I thought this was necessary to clear the air. Every woman has there relationship issues and who am I to pry into the personal, private space of other women?
I’ve moved on and I’m in a great place in life and my career. I’m working very hard to give you guys some great music which has always been my focus and I truly believe that I’ve done that with my “SHOW THE WORLD” album. I hope you guys are ready to ride out with me! I promise you won’t be disappointed.
